You may start your visit entering the Malatesta castle from the entrance tower. Everything has been perfectly restored , echoing the atmosphere of a bygone era. The town plan is medieval: the embankment is surrounded by strong walls lined with towers, and inside the walls there are narrow streets overlooking the houses, some inhabited as main residence, others used for holidays. The microcosm of the hamlet-castle appears today in all its charm, taking us away from the present.The Town Hall lies next to the gate tower, where there is Palazzo Viviani, the ancient home of the lords of the castle; it is today an attractive hotel and restaurant. The Viviani chapel is all that remains of the 13th century church of St. Agostino, destroyed in 1336. The small church of St. Rocco was built in 1427 with a beautiful ogival portal of Gothic inspiration. It houses a splendid canvas by Guido Cagnacci  from Rimini, one of the most important artists of the 17th century. The painting portrays the Madonna and Child adored by the Saints Rocco, Giacinto and Sebastian. Worth a visit are the frescoes by an anonymous painter from the Marches (15th cent.) and another by Girolamo Marchesi da Cotignola (1520 – 1525). The church of St. Peter has an extremely ancient origin, it was completely rebuilt after the damages done of the second world war: it holds a beautiful fresco by an anonymous painter of the 15th cent.

Finally, in the hamlet of Trebbio you can visit the sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin of the Graces, built after the Virgin Mary appearance in 1548 and now a pilgrimage place.

The local products are an excellent extra virgin olive oil and a very good wine. The local dishes are: tagliatelle with ragù and mushrooms, strozzapreti, (a hand-made type of pasta),  cornmeal mush and different types of meat.
